Hey! It’s the middle of June which means that the time crunch is on! Issue #4 is only a month and a half away.
If you’re interested in being a part of Issue #4 then the time is now. We are setting a deadline for submissions, and that deadline is July 1st. This issue is going to be sick. We’ve mentioned that the quality would be improving and that the distribution would be as well. Until now it was a good thought, but now it’s necessary. The deal we’ve been getting is no longer available which means that we’re taking a huge leap of faith. The response to the magazine so far has been astounding and it’s time that we expanded our coverage and our distribution. We’ve been in talks the last few weeks and in order for the magazine to continue we’re going to be upping the numbers by over 2,000 copies per issue. This means that Cranked will be available in more shops around the world, making it easier than ever to pick us up. How cool is that?
Our last issue had over 19 contributors which is a huge jump from the previous issue. Seeing as how the mag is reaching new parts of the globe we’d really like to see some photos from other parts of the world (that means you Australia – HelloCourier…ahem.) If you’re thinking about throwing a race, wherever it is, send us a flyer and we’ll try to squeeze it in. Got photos from a ride, race, polo game, night of drinking? Send em in. This magazine is yours, we’re here for you.
In other news the Vibrator is two months away. If you haven’t experienced the Vibrator before, then this is the year to become acquainted. Spend a weekend on Vashon riding some beautiful singletrack, hanging out with friends, enjoy a massive bbq, and drink all the beer you can. Stay tuned for some more info and for a special event being organized by our friend Steve. Of course it wouldn’t be the same without a polo tournament so have no fears…polo is on!
And last but not least we’ve been preparing for the Velorrito going down this Saturday in Portland. So far I can hold two burritos down but I’m not sure what will happen when I attempt to ride. I have a feeling it’s going to be messy at best. Hell yes.
